Beverly Ann Brunozzi
Sunday, October 19, 2025
Beverly Ann Brunozzi, 77, of Swoyersville, formerly of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family after a battle with cancer.

She was born November 15, 1947 to Mary and Frank Mazur, Plymouth. She loved growing up in Plymouth and working the farm in the flats. Beverly graduated from Plymouth High School in 1965 and from the Nesbitt School of Nursing in 1968. She was an Emergency RN for Nesbitt Hospital. In 1968, she married Arnold and soon took time off to be a dedicated mom of three and to build community through a family restaurant, Arnold’s Pizza and Pasta. Plymouth.

Beverly was the mom, aunt, and neighbor who volunteered for every trip and event. She was the mom running onto the field to help an injured child or saving the life of a stranger at a party. She made costumes, furniture and decorations with her family and for them. She took her girl scouts winter camping, was a scout summer camp nurse, recorded school football, ran trips and events for her children, and cheered on nieces and nephews. Nearly every adventure included a historical lesson.

She and Arnold were hard workers. They supported everyone to take on new challenges, celebrate family, and build community. Mom was the fun energy. Later, she returned to nursing as an RN Supervisor for Manor Care and other nursing facilities over 20 years.

Beverly’s journey was blessed with two beautiful marriages. She married David in September of 1994. They fostered their love of history and explored the US and the world, traveling side by side and embracing new cultures. They also enjoyed documenting their adventures with photography. Beverly has a unique gift to decorate a beautiful home, and she added their trip photos and treasures to her cozy displays.

In 2008, Beverly combined her love of nursing and travel to help as an RN on a medical mission in Nicaragua with the Back Mountain Harvest Church.

A creative spirit, Beverly tried all things crafty. She found joy in culture, music, painting, woodworking, and gardening. Her backyard was a haven for family, friends, hummingbirds, blooming flowers and her painted art.

Beverly is survived by and is greatly missed her husband of 31 years, David Brunozzi (formerly Glen Lyon), her daughter Dana Mascioli, fiance James Harden (Swoyersville); son Aaron Mascioli (Bear Creek); son Jason Mascioli, wife Jennifer (Shavertown); grandson, Ian Mascioli (Taylor); her beloved brother-in-law, Thomas Ricko, Sr. (Plymouth); several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nephew; and her life-long best friend, John Martin (Bethany Beach, formerly of Plymouth, Pa.)

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Arnold Mascioli; her sister, Gloria RIcko; her brother, Frank (Buddy) Mazur; nephew, Armand Mazur; mother-in-law, Frances Brunozzi.

Beverly Ann Brunozzi leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and community. Her memory lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit continues to inspire all who knew her.
