Lawrence (Larry) Sipsky, age 71, of Larksville, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Born April 18, 1954 in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret Sipsky. Larry was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Class of 1972, and was a graduate of Penn State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by PG&W/PG Energy/UGI as an engineer for 49 years.

He was a devoted sports enthusiast who faithfully cheered for his favorite teams — the Pittsburgh Pirates, the New York Jets, WBS/Pittsburgh Penguins & Penn State football. Larry cherished his many trips to Myrtle Beach with his wife, Sue and found his greatest joy in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.

He loved spending time outdoors, especially working in his yard and tending to his garden. Growing his tomato plants brought him particular joy and pride each year.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Susan D. Jones, who passed away September 6, 2023.

Surviving are his loving children, Lorri Chipego (Bob), Swoyersville, and Chris Sipsky (Andra), Swoyersville; grandchildren, Chloe Chipego, Bobby Chipego, Alivia Sipsky and Avery Sipsky; brothers and sister, Bob Sipsky (Theresa), Stuart, Fl, Elaine Berish (Joe), Delaware, and Michael Sipsky (Sandra), Hunlock Creek; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Family and friends may call on Monday evening from 4 to 7 p.m. at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home.
