Roberta Reese, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025, at the age of 88. She was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Ned, whom she missed dearly.

Roberta was born and raised in Plymouth, PA, and met the love of her life, Ned, at Ward P. Davenport High School, where she was the proud head majorette for the Shawnee Indians, and Ned was the quarterback for the football team. Their love story was one for the ages, and together they built a beautiful life centered around faith, family, and hard work.

She was predeceased by her parents, Leo Rutkoski Sr. and Mary Jewelinski, father and mother in law, Jack Reese and Jane Nichols, sister in law, Terry Rutkoski, and son in law, Kurt A. Pollard Sr.

Roberta was a devoted mother of six children, Roberta Lieberman, Allentown, Sharon Devlin (Jerry), Dallas, Donna Reese-Pollard, West Chester, Deborah Ickes, Dallas, Teresa Harris (Brian), Dallas, and John Reese (Mary Ellen), Charleston, SC. She was also the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Family was her whole world, and she dedicated her life to creating a warm, loving home where everyone felt welcome. She was the heart of her family, always present with a kind word, a home-cooked meal, or a helping hand.

A woman of deep faith, Roberta was a dedicated member of her church and found great strength in her relationship with God. Her unwavering loyalty to her faith guided her through life, and she took great joy in attending bible study and mass through Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas, PA. She lived by example, always showing kindness, generosity, and love to those around her.

Roberta is also survived by her loving brother, Leo Rutkoski (Gisela Demko), Dallas, several nieces, great nieces and great nephews, and a large and loving family who will forever cherish her memory. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Lisa Chokola, her caregiver, for the kindness and care she provided, as well as to The Meadows Nursing Home for their support and compassion.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until mass time at the Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Twp. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gate of Heaven Church in Roberta’s memory.

Arrangements are entrusted to the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.

Though she will be deeply missed, Roberta’s love, faith, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She is now at peace, reunited with Ned, watching over us with love.
