Barbara Ann Bamrick Thresten passed away at the age of 83 after a brave battle with a long term illness on Sunday, January 26, 2025. May she find comfort and grace in the Light of the Lord.

Barbara was a life long resident of the Hanover Green section of Hanover Township and loved
her home and neighbors. She was a graduate of the Hanover Area High School Class of 1958 and
earned a Secretarial Diploma from Wilkes-Barre Business College.

Barbara was employed at the Luzerne County Courthouse, and later worked with her parents at their long time business, Bamrick's Cafe in Hanover Green. Later in life she was a property manager. Her interests included gardening, painting, dancing, and the Performing Arts. She was an animal lover and rights advocate.

Preceding in death are her mother, Anna "Nan" Swanberry Bamrick, father, James Bamrick, brother, James W. Bamrick, and husband, Leonard J. Thresten.

Surviving are daughter, Tara Thresten Simoson, son, Paul S Thresten, and cousins.

A private burial service in Hanover Green Cemetery will held for immediate family. Arrangements are by S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth, Pennsylvania.
