Marilyn A. Taroli

Marilyn A. Taroli, 94, formerly of Kingston and more recently of Dallas, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at The Village at Greenbrier, Dallas.

She was born in the Browntown Section of Pittston Township, PA, on December 27, 1929 and was the Daughter of Anna and Joseph Vitcosky.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Henry (Hank) Taroli, and her sister, Anna Mae Potomis.

Marilyn is survived by her son, Attorney Garry S. Taroli and his wife, Kate, of Dallas, and by her daughter, Attorney Elaine Stanko and her husband, Attorney Ron Stanko, of Wyomissing, PA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Attorney Alison Gelsleichter and her husband, Dr. Eric, of Ithaca, N.Y., Attorney Daniel Taroli and his wife, Carissa, of Kingston, PA., Attorney Drew Stanko and Caty Stanko, both of NYC; her three great grandchildren, Lena, Celia, & Henry Gelsleichter, of Ithaca, N.Y.; her step grandchildren, Attorney Robbie Stanko and Becky Stanko; and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn graduated from Pittston Township High School, where she was the valedictorian of her class, and later graduated from Scranton Business School. She worked for Prudential Insurance, Jewelcor Travel, and for many years as an Administrative Assistant to Marc Holtzman.

She was a 51 year member of the Kingston Pool, and loved her family and her dogs, Laddie, Luke, Lucy, Lincoln, and Lucky Girl.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday, December 20, 2024 at St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, West Wyoming.

The family wishes to thank Cheryl and the staff at The Village at Greenbrier and the staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart.

In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired, may be made to Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge, the S.P.C.A. of Luzerne County or Hospice of the Sacred Heart.
