Francis J. Peterson Jr., age 79, of Larksville passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at his home.

Born September 7, 1945 in Larksville, he was the son of the late Francis J. Peterson Sr. and Eleanor Janosky Peterson. Frank was a graduate of Larksville High School, Class of 1965, and a graduate of King’s College, Class of 1969. He was a member of the Courtdale United Methodist Church, Courtdale. Frank was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during the Vietnam War.

Prior to his retirement, Frank had been employed by Mondelez International Corp., formerly Kraft Foods for 45 years.

Frank loved his home and he enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved pet dog, Sasha.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Moran.

Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years the former Roxanne Zipay, children, Allen Peterson, of Myrtle Beach, S. C., Vanessa Schaffer and her husband, Billy, of Tunkhannock, future grandson, Billy Schaffer V, sisters, Rita Jean Palovchak and her husband, Victor, of Las Vegas,Mary Frances Schiffgens and her husband Tom, of Maryland and Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Courtdale United Methodist Church, Courtdale. Family and friends are invited to call Monday morning from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
