Patrick H. Hartman Sr., age 78, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at his home.
Born March 17, 1946 in Larksville, he was the son of the late Henry (Hank) Hartman and Cecelia Anson Hartman. Patrick was a graduate of Larksville High School and attended Wilkes Barre Technical School, specializing in the electrical field. He was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth, and had been a member of the Lion’s Club, Larksville.
Prior to his retirement, Patrick was employed by Morgan Electric, Luzerne, as an electrician, for many years. He has also been employed as a mining electrician for Ken Pollock. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 163.
Patrick was a family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a humble and genuine man. He never complained and always put others before himself. Patrick was a hard worker and a great provider for his family.
He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors and camping.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hartman, who passed away in 2002; son-in-law, James Cwalina; and great grandson, Jacob Patrick Cwalina.
He is survived by his loving children, Patricia A. Pedana (Aldo), Kingston, Dorothy A. Cwalina, Larksville, (Carl Friendy), and Patrick H. Hartman Jr. (Jaime), Larksville; grandchildren, Kristina Cwalina (John Ricci), Amanda Cwalina (Ben Banks), and Alicia Marie Pedana; great grandchildren, Nathan James Cwalina and Bella Armani Cwalina; brothers, Lawrence Hartman (June), Nanticoke, and Joseph Hartman (Brenda), Larksville; lady friend/companion, Gladys Twardowski and her son, Larry Kimble; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 West Main Street, Plymouth, followed Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at All Saints Parish, Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Lehman.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
