John M. Kasko, age 77, of Nanticoke, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Born September 4, 1947 in Wilkes Barre, he was the son of the late John Kasko Sr. and Anna Rasimovich Kasko. He was a graduate of Hanover Area High School, Class of 1965, and attended West Side Vocational Technical School specializing in machinery.
In past years, he has been employed by Volunteers of America, Wilkes Barre, as a driver.
John was very talented painting oil paintings. He loved to work with his hands and especially loved building custom wood furniture. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margie Petrick, brothers, Stanley Klimchak and William Rasimovich.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, the former Bonnie Lazur; nephews, Albert Petrick, and his wife, Patricia, of Orlando, Fl, William Petrick, and his wife, Rosemarie, of Wilmington, De, and James Petrick, and his wife, Esther, of Plymouth.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
