Leonard John Duda

It is with deepest condolences that we announce the passing, after an extended illness, of Leonard John Duda, 89, of Plymouth on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Hampton House, Hanover Township.

Born on October 16, 1934, he was the son of the late Stanley Duda and Helen Thomas Duda. A 1952 graduate of Plymouth High School, Leonard was also a member of All Saint Parish in Plymouth. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Leslie Fay Company and was the owner/operator of Duda’s Barber Shop.

Leonard enjoyed spending time outdoors with his beloved horse, Bandit, as well as hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved watching his sons play and coach football over the years. His greatest joy in life was his family for whom he held tremendous pride and love.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Margaret (Peggy) Orth, daughter of the late Louis Orth and Alice Hennigan Orth; sons Stephen Duda and wife Laura of Fell Township, Mark Duda and wife Denise of Scranton; granddaughters Taylor Duda and husband Casey Holman, and K’Sandre Cook; and great-granddaughter Rhaidyn Smith. Also surviving are siblings Mary Ann Ksiaskiewicz and Bernard Duda, sisters-in-law Denise Barbare and Sarah (Sally) Colarusso, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment was in St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Twp.

Arrangements were entrusted to the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.
