Elizabeth “Betty” M. Cooper, age 89, of Plymouth, passed into the Hands of the Lord on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes Barre.
Born December 12, 1934 in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Robert McTague and Bernadine Loyd McTague. Elizabeth was a graduate of St. Vincent’s High School, Plymouth, and a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth. She worked as a bookkeeper, retiring from Blasi Printing.
Elizabeth loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed her home and taking shopping trips.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Robert C. Cooper, who passed away in 1986; son-in-law, Joseph Shutlock; brother, Thomas McTague; and brother-in-law, John (Jack) Kennedy.
Surviving are her loving children, Deborah Shutlock, of Kingston, and Robert C. Cooper Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Plymouth; grandchildren, Lee Ann Duda, Jamie LaSorsa (Vince), Christopher Shutlock, Ryan Cooper (Jessica) and Tricia Sack (Joseph); great grandchildren, Kaleigh Hamm, Nicholas Hamm, Dylan LaSorsa, Lucas LaSorsa, Cooper Sack, Lilah Sack and Callan Cooper; brother, Robert McTague (Debra), of Mountaintop; sister, Kathleen Kennedy, of Plymouth; a niece; and several nephews.
A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family from the S. J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth, with Mass of Christian Burial in All Saints Parish of Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Larksville.
