Albert Richard Dragan, age 65, of Plymouth, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Wilkes Barre General Hospital.

Born October 13, 1958 in Plymouth, he was the son of the late Joseph Dragan and Bernadine Wierzbicki Dragan. He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth. Albert was a veteran serving with the United States Air Force where he was a member of the Air Police Security.

In past years, he had been employed in the landscaping, lawn care and snow removal business and he had been a union welder for AMCA International, which built the 8 Line Tunnel under the Baltimore Harbor, I-95.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Dragan.

Surviving are his brother, Joseph Dragan, and his wife, Barbara, of Bloomsburg; nieces, Danielle Ford (Brad), Christine Doby (Luke), Amanda Troy (Barry), and Samantha Porter (Ed); and great nieces and nephews, Madelyn Ford, Grant Ford, Willow Doby, Harlow Doby, Connor Troy, Warren Troy, Owen Troy and Dax Porter.

Immediate family and close friends are invited to attend funeral service on Friday, August 2, at 12 p.m. at St. Mary’s Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Twp. Interment will follow.

Arrangements are entrusted to the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired, may be made in Albert’s memory to the Plymouth Historical Society or the Luzerne County SPCA.
